Chapter #6 - The Pork rush

Our heroes are headed to the capital city of Aeven. As they cross the farmlands, they feel a soothing wind and relaxing fresh air. The trio seems to be in a good mood; walking, even feeling optimistic. All of a sudden the scent of fresh air is taken over by the smell of smoke. Hantsuki begins to search where the smell is coming from, and notices a barn being burnt. The trio quickly begins to run towards the burning barn afar.

Meanwhile at the barn, two Twindemons are burning it, as Waveblade the mage is seen approaching the owner of the farm and violently grabbing him by the neck.

"Alright pops, this is just a warning. We burned your barn as a warning, just think of what we could do to you if we really had to hurt you!" said Waveblade.

"Please... I have never seen the guy, leave me and my piggies alone, I beg you!” said the old man.

"Useless fool... Twindemons, leave no trace of this farm. After that, kill the man!" said Waveblade as he walked away and teleported.

The Twindemons were destroying all things in their path. Suddenly they were interrupted by Hantsuki with a strong flash, which blinded the two monsters.

"POTION OF SPARKLES!" screamed Hantsuki.

"What are two Twindemons doing here?!" asked Rettan.

"Who cares bro? We have to do something!" said Jellirox.

Rettan and Hantsuki quickly charged to attack the two Twindemons, having a fierce battle. However, the Twindemons were way stronger. Rettan tried to kick them in the face but was quickly sent flying by one of the Twindemon’s punches. Hantsuki seemed nervous and quickly ran to the Twindemons, screaming, with her twinblade.
As she ran, she was sent flying by the tail whip of the Twindemon. Quickly the two were defeated; Jellirox’s eyes were full of tears, as she felt that she had no weapon that could help anyone. Feeling useless and desperate, Jellirox started throwing rocks at the Twindemons as they slowly approached her…

Meanwhile, somewhere far away... In a snowy prairie, a girl carrying a log entered her small house, which was located in what looked like the ruins of an empire, deep in an icy mountain...

"Hunt... Has the girl awaken yet?" asked the girl with the log.

"No Squishy... It has been like two weeks, and all she mumbles is the name of the Seraphym Rettan..." said Hunt.

The ill girl opened her eyes and violently got off the bed.

"What happened?! Where am I?! Who are you people?! Where is Rettan?!" asked the ill girl.

"My name is Huntofdeath, her name is Squishychan, and we are brother and sister; you are currently at Ice Mountain, and Rettan is a Seraphym who lives in the heavens, so you won’t be seeing him," said Huntofdeath.

Huntofdeath was a very large man, wearing a thick leather-made outfit. Squishychan was wearing an outfit very similar to Huntofdeath, but she on the other hand was small and thin.

"You guys don’t understand..." the ill girl left the house running to a small cliff.

"Wait! Are you stupid?!" asked Squishychan as she ran trying to stop her.

The ill girl jumped off the small cliff, opening her arms as if she expected she could fly, but nothing happened and she harshly hit the ground. Squishychan and Huntofdeath ran down the cliff to check if the ill girl was hurt.

"We always find people lost in the mountain... but this girl... is polemic..." said Huntofdeath.

"Oh shut up bro! We gotta take the girl back inside!" said Squishychan as she began to drag her.

Meanwhile, back in the farm, our heroes were in a heavy rain. Calipso is seen flying around the unconscious Jellirox, Rettan, and Hantsuki. Rettan slowly wakes up and quickly checks on Jellirox and Hantsuki as they both wake up. Jellirox looked deeply at Calipso.

"Did you do this Calipso? You saved us?" asked Jellirox.

"Oh c’mon Jelli, Calipso is just a little baby," said Hantsuki.

Jellirox realized what Hantsuki said as they stood up to search for the owner of the farm. Quickly Rettan noticed something slightly moving under some wood and realized it’s the owner of the farm. Hantsuki ran to help him as Jellirox slowly healed him with her magic. The man was old, with wide contexture, and had a mustache. The man thanked the group as he asked their names. The group presented themselves and so did the man.

"My name is Pigton. I think you youngsters are the reason why my barn was burnt by that mage..." said the man.

"That must be Waveblade!" screamed Rettan.

"We are sorry Mr.Pigton... Is there any way we can repay you? It was our fault after all..." said Hantsuki.

"Why don’t we help Mr.Pigton rebuild his barn?" proposed Jellirox.

"I just wonder where my piggies ran... I had about fifty... they’re a rare animal, you know," said Mr.Pigton.

"Don’t worry! We will find them!!" screamed Rettan, once again excited.

The group quickly began to work, and to try to return the 50 piggies back into the barn. Hantsuki was chopping wood with her twinblade, and Jellirox was carrying some wood with Calipso, as Mr.Pigton was nailing the pieces together with a hammer. Rettan, on the other hand, was fetching piggies. Actually, the piggies where fetching him.

After a long day of work the sunset was radiating, and Hantsuki was cooking as the others were taking a rest. Mr.Pigton befriended the group, talking and laughing while waiting for dinner.

"You youngsters are a great group, together you will accomplish any task if you maintain yourselves as you are, I cant stop thanking you for bringing my piggies back," said Mr.Pigton.

"We are sorry for your farm getting burnt because of that crimson wizard!" said Rettan.

"No need to be sorry, just focus on finding your dear Laoni. Your descent, Rettan, has been a blessing for me. Not everyday your farm is visited and repaired by a grand seraphym, you know..." mentioned Mr.Pigton.

Suddenly Calipso began to fly in circles, as if something bad were going to happen. The wind began to blow hard, and the night sky became pitch black. A red cloud appeared, descending from it was Fleurygal.

"I finally see you in person, mister seraphym!" said Fleurygal.

The group was terrified as Fleurygal kicked Mr.Pigton to the floor, giggling.

"Since Waveblade was useless I had to punish him. Yes, my pet Waveblade can be useless sometimes,” remarked Fleurygal.

"Who are you?!" asked Jellirox.

"You three fools don’t know me yet? My name is Fleurygal, and I am a direct assistant of Lord Apozen. He is very mad right now, his body is all burnt because of that old bastard’s interception to assassinate Rettan while we had the chance,” answered Fleurygal.

"Don’t speak of the dead that way! Gullio was a hero! He sacrificed his life for me!!" screamed Rettan.

"Gullio... That’s my grandfather Hitaru’s friend," mentioned Hantsuki as she stared at Fleurygal.

"It’s useless to find your beloved Laoni, we killed her... You should have seen her face! She was so terrified and screaming your name for help!" said Fleurygal as she giggled, mimicking Laoni.

"THAT’S NOT TRUE!" screamed Rettan as he took out his dagger, charging to attack with everything he had at Fleurygal.

Fleurygal stopped him quickly by binding him with her puppet strings. Every time Rettan struggled to get free of them the strings got tighter and tighter all over his body, making him bleed.

"You act so foolish... The more you struggle the more you suffer... Rettan, Great Seraphym, just quit your nonsense and join us. I’ll even grant you the wish of reviving Laoni for you! You have potential, join the winning side," said Fleurygal.

Hantsuki tried to run with her to cut the strings with her twinblade, but was quickly caught in one of them.

"That was easy, my powers are superior... Don’t defy me. I’ll ask again, Rettan, will you join us?" asked Fleurygal.

"LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE!" screamed Jellirox as she ran at Fleurygal. She kicked Fleurygal’s wooden head, sending her flying. However, still controlling the strings, Fleurygal stood back up. She then trapped Jellirox with the strings, too, and began to increase the tension in the strings, making the struggle for all three even harder. Calipso didn’t know what to do, so he flew to the barn and started to scream in a very acute tune, making the piggies in the barn go insane. The sound waves made the strings vibrate, making the effect of pain even higher. However, the piggies went on a rampage and destroyed the barn door. Calipso screamed harder and harder, causing the strings to break due to such sound waves. The rampaging piggies all passed over Fleurygal, making her be stomped by all 50 of them.

Fleurygal weakly stood up again, with rage in her face.

"This time you were saved. I won’t kill you, because I have fun with you people. For now... I shall go, but heck yes, we will meet again." Fleurygal said in a very faint voice, disappearing with the red cloud, and clearing the night sky once again.

"We are saved," said Jellirox.

"All thanks to our baby Calipso!" giggled Hantsuki.

Jellirox healed everyone once more, and walked up to Calipso. She took out that snail tie she had received from Whirl, who was Rauchel’s snail friend. She closed her eyes and smiled, placing the tie on Calipso’s neck.

"This is the most precious thing I can give you as a thanks for saving us, little Calipso, and... It looks cute on you!" giggled Jellirox.

"AAAAAAH!" screamed Rettan.

"WHAT HAPPENED?!" Everyone asked.

"The piggies... We will have to fetch them again!! AAAAAAAAAAH!!!" whined Rettan.

Everyone laughed, as the stars dotted the sky, and the moon complemented a perfect night. Meanwhile, in a distant desert, a very technological factory is seen. Waveblade walks into the factory and sees the silhouette of a man.

"Clavis... When will the project PROTO conclude?" asked Waveblade.

"Patience, tell Apozen I need more time," said Clavis, who was the silhouette.

"This... will be my ultimate creation... superior being..."

Chapter #5 - The Eggsplotion

Our heroes are headed this time to the monumental city of Aeven, capital city of Vultia, searching for the knowledge of the Wiseman and the Witch. Along the road, Jellirox seems to be in a good mood as she skips along. Rettan, however, just keeps walking, obviously bothered by something on his mind.

"Whats wrong brother? Why are you always in a strange mood?" asked Jellirox.

"Well... you see--" Rettan started to answer, but they were quickly interrupted by the attack of a Blob slime.

The creature was green, no form at all, just a puddle of slime.

"What the hell is that?!" asked Rettan.

The blob quickly began to form itself, soon becoming as tall as Rettan. Jellirox was shocked to see such a strange creature, so she quickly threw a rock, thought it just went through the creature´s slimy body. Jellirox was dumbfounded, so she demanded that they begin to run. Just as they started to run, it quickly jumped into Jellirox´s bag and attempted to eat the egg.

"RET, HE´S TRYING TO EAT THE EGG!!" screamed Jellirox.

Suddenly a light flashed from the egg and the blob was sent flying off to hit the ground, making it become a puddle of slime once more. Jellirox walked to the blob remains, and collected some slime in a little test-tube. While collecting the slime, Jellirox notices her bag shining; she quickly opened her bag and notices the egg was glowing. Rettan runs to see it too, and they begin to wonder what was going on.

Meanwhile, the shadow of someone is seen behind a tree spying on Rettan and Jellirox while they wonder whats going on with the egg. The shadow smiles and decides to attack. All of a sudden, while Rettan and Jellirox were watching the egg, a quick shadow steals the shining egg and begins to run off before either of them can react.
"Egg is now property of Cj because the egg shines and Cj likes shiny things!!" said the running shadow.

"Bro we must get him!!" demanded Jellirox while running.

"Sis!! This kid is too fast!" whined Rettan while chasing the running shadow.

Suddenly the shadow falls into a pit trap in the middle of the road.

"Who in the--" asked Rettan as he was interrupted by a laugh of a girl.

A girl walked to the pit and jumped down, she tried to get something from the running shadow who happened to be a catlike boy with a kitty hat. The catboy scratched the girl and jumped up the pit.

"CJ LOVES SHINY THINGS AND IS TOO SMART FOR YOU FOOLS!" said the catlike boy while running away again.

"A little help here...," said the girl in the pit.

Rettan helped the girl get back up and Jellirox healed her. The girl seemed to be furious about something and looked in the horizon.

"Thanks by the way, but I have business with that thief, so I have to go," said the girl as she took out her twinblade.

"We could help you catch him.. he has our egg," said Jellirox.

"I guess Jelli is right, by the way, what´s your name?" asked Rettan.

"My name is Hantsuki, from Estaq," answered the girl.

"If we work together we could think of a great plan," said Rettan.

"Well I guess it's cool, let's set to work!" demanded Hantsuki smiling.

The trio began to act as a team, instantly becoming good friends, as they idealized a plan where they tried to gather shiny things and put them as lure for a trap. Unfortunately, they didnt have enough shiny things.

"WHERE CAN WE GET MORE SHINY THINGS?!" screamed Hantsuki.

"I dont know but I want my egg back...," whined Jellirox.

"I HAVE THE ANSWER AND SOLUTION FOR EVERYTHING!!!" screamed Hantsuki again.

"AND THAT IS?!" asked Rettan and Jellirox.

An excited Hantuski is seen taking something out of her bag; Rettan and Jellirox were thinking of a magical wand that would create shiny things, or a miracle, or many shiny things to come out of Hantsuki´s bag.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!!! IT'S... STEEL POLISH CREAM!!!" said Hantsuki while laughing insanely.

Rettan looked at Hantsuki´s twinblade which was shining and asked how she had managed to make it shine so much, thinking that maybe they could get stones and make them shiny the way the twinblade was.

"IT'S THE POLISH RET! THE POLISH!!!" exclaimed Hantsuki.

"Okay okay, I get the idea," answered Rettan.

"Hant... so, why do you search for that thief so much? Tell us about him," questioned Jellirox.

"You see, long ago, my grandfather Hitaru gave me a guardian charm, and said that it would protect me even in the worst occasions. But one day, while walking around the outskirts of Estaq, that strange cat-like boy appeared, and he demanded my shiny charm. I refused, so he quickly hit me and stole the charm... His name is Cjrej... everything is unknown about him, all I know is that he thinks life is a game, and he lives in his game, stealing shiny things from people, no matter if it's valuable or not," said Hantsuki.

"He seems... a little insane," said Rettan, freaked out.

"Well, we have to catch him! C'mon guys! Start polishing rocks!" demanded Jellirox.

The three polished stones and put shiny things in the middle of a road as lure for the net trap they'd set up. Once finished, they hid in the bushes to wait for the cat-boy to fall into their little trap.

Cjrej was running quickly along, and excitement filled his eyes as he saw the shiny things. Moving forward, he reached out a hand to poke at them.

"Such temptation for Cj, its paradise... It could be a trap, but Cj says, no pain no gain, Cj must risk himself to pick such treasure up..." thought Cjrej.

He got closer and closer and quickly nabbed the stuff, but got pulled upwards towards the tree branch that the net was hanging on as the trap worked.

"Let Cj go!!" screamed and demanded Cjrej.

Rettan and Jellirox laughed as Hantsuki climbed the branch where Cjrej was trapped and stole the guardian charm he stole from her. Cjrej got mad and slashed the net and Hantsuki making the shiny egg fall down as Cjrej and Hantsuki were hanging from the net fighting. The egg was falling to be crushed on the ground, but Rettan quickly ran to grab it, though it didn't seem he would catch it. All of a sudden, Jellirox runs and jumps, kicking off on Rettan´s head to jump high and finally catch the egg safe.

"Cj has game over for now...," said Cjrej in a faint voice watching the group run away.

In that moment. Hantsuki kicks Cjrej´s chin and sends him down as he jumps down safely again. Cjrej was knocked out by falling on top of the shiny things that were the lure as the trio runs off with the egg and the charm in direction of Aeven. As they ran, Jellirox was holding the egg and it kept shining nonstop, making her feel rather scared and worried about the egg. Night was falling and the egg kept shining stronger and stronger, and the trio agreed to spend the night in the forest, so Ret began to try to light a campfire to rest for the night.

"I CAN'T LIGHT THIS THING!!" whined Rettan while holding two sticks.

"Ahaha, let me help Ret, I have a potion of fire, my grandpa makes them," claimed Hantsuki as she threw a bottle to the ground.

"And then there was light!!" said Hantsuki.

A fire started all of a sudden, leaving Rettan shocked.

"Ho-.. how did you do that?!" asked Rettan.

"My grandfather is the master of illusion and magic! He knows a lot about potions and alchemy," explained Hantsuki.

Jellirox was sitting by a tree hugging the egg and worried about what would happen to it since the shine got worse and worse.

"Jelli...," complained Rettan.

"She will be okay, and so will the egg, just you wait!" Hantsuki chimed in optimistically.

"Hant... all three of us make a pretty cool team you know, maybe you could--" was saying Rettan as was interrupted by a scream from Jellirox.
Hantsuki and Rettan quickly ran to see what was going on, and they found her watching the slowly cracking egg with a look of morbid fascination.

"It's cracking brother!! Oh no!" cried Jellirox.

"Things will be fine! It's hatching!!" assured Hantsuki.

The light got way stronger, blinding the group, as finally a small round dragon-like creature came out. It was white with a round head, a baby dragon face, with small wings, little paws, and a small tail. The little creature opened is eyes and made a soothing cry that began to alterate the colors of the forest, making lights shine all over. A new mystic creature was born and, Jellirox being the first thing it saw, it clung to what it thought it was it's mother. The creature kept crying, creating rainbow lights and auroras in the night sky.

Jellirox cried of emotion watching such a beautiful creature be born, Hantsuki kept screaming it was so cute, as Rettan was shocked just mumbling "Ba... Ba... baaa..."

"Since you produced all these beautiful colors with your cry, the perfect name for you is... Calipso!"

"Awww it's such a cute name!!" said Hantsuki.

The creature was happy and cuddled into Jellirox, seemingly liking his new name.

"Girls... Calipso is the legendary... uh nevermnind. Hi little guy! Welcome to this world!" said Rettan while tickling the little creature.

After some time with the baby dragon, the trio went off to sleep and call it a day.

The next morning Rettan wakes up with a soothing smell that makes his stomach ache in his half-awake state. Unfortunately, his minor daydream is quickly interrupted by the sound of a pot and a stick.

"BREAKFAST IS SERVED GUYS!! WAKE UP SLEEPY HEADS!!" screamed Hantsuki.

"What the hell...?" mumbled Rettan.

Jellirox and Calipso wake up too as Hantsuki seemed to be in a great mood.
"Alright guys we better eat fast if we wanna be on the road to Aeven right? C'mon chopchop!" said Hantsuki.

"What do you mean, Hant?" asked Jellirox.

"Well, you guys helped me recover the Guardian charm, and we lived such an amazing day yesterday full of adventures and fun, that I think I should totally go with you guys on the journey! Besides, I am strong, smart, pretty, a good cook, and always helpful! So you should thank me for making this choice!" answered Hantsuki.

"HOLY CRACK THIS FOOD IS AMAZING!" Rettan squealed, having obviously gotten ahold of breakfast while Hant and Jelli were conversing.

"Alright then I don't see why not!" answered Jellirox smiling.

"We will find Laoni! And who knows! Maybe something even bigger is waiting for us during this long road!" said the motivated Hantsuki, pointing to the horizon.

"Welcome then!" said Rettan and Jellirox.

With a new friend, and a new life, our heroes set off to Aeven city, looking optimistic, and now with a new responsibility - the care of a little baby dragon, Calipso.

Chapter 4 - The pride of the centaur.

Chapter #4 - The Pride of the Centaur.

As our heros walk through the dark Azuorph forest, they finally see light coming from the end of the forest. Jellirox and Rettan smile and run excitedly towards the light, finally getting there, revealing a short path that leads to the plains that are the homeland of the Centaurs.Rettan and Jellirox stood in a rock, contemplating what looked like a peaceful village. Rettan smiled, having thoughts of finally finding clues or the location of his wife. Jellirox jumped down the rock and began to run directly to the village.

"RACE YOU THERE BRO!!!" said Jellirox while running.

"Ahg! IM GONNA BEAT YOU!" answered Rettan while running after Jellirox.

Finally arriving at the centaur village they find themselves with a beautiful village, with houses made of red bricks, rocky roads, a nice and active square, and ruins of ancient-like columns, that make them look like decoration. Rettan and Jellirox walked cheerfully all around, until Jellirox´s sight is captured by a centaur hoof that was in the bushes of the village limits. When she went to pick it up, she was quickly astonished and jumped by a centaur that was about to attack her, she screamed in fear, and quickly Rettan noticed. He threw his dagger directly to strike the centaur´s leg. The centaur removed the dagger from his leg and threw it directly at Rettan which he managed to dodge it with pure luck making the dagger strike the tree behind him.

"Damn, how did he--" Rettan claimed as he was interrupted by being hit by a rock in his face thrown by the centaur.

"Hah, little human" said the centaur as he tried to walk to him.

Jellirox was still in the floor, but noticed the centaur´s leg was bleeding, she quickly reacted and kicked the Centaur´s wounded leg making the centaur scream and begin to go on a rampage, Rettan and Jellirox began to run, as the centaur followed them, crushing the houses of the village and causing commotion and panic among the human and centaur villagers.
All of a sudden a random arrow strikes the centaur´s chest, throwing the centaur towards the floor. Rettan instantly became shocked, and quickly thought It was Laoni with her arrows, however when he saw where the arrow came from he could just see the sillouette of a centaur. Quickly, the sillouette of the centaur jumps revealing himself heading to the wounded centaur and lands next to Rettan and Jellirox.

"Still playing tough youngster eh ol´ Narium?" Said the centaur with the bow.

"Who is Narium?" asked Jellirox.

"He is this wounded fool here, he used to be the elder of this village, till I won his spot, fair and square" said the centaur with the bow.

"I cannot... be... beaten... by a low class... centaur..." said Narium in a very weak tone.

"Jello quick, heal Narium!" said Rettan, then he looked at the centaur and asked for his name.

"My name is Sagitus, and I am the leader of Centaur village, glad to meet you two." said the centaur with the bow.

"I see..." answered Rettan.

"You might wanna leave this old guy alone now that he is healed, he will cause you trouble, other than that, enjoy your stay in Centaur, I'm off." said Sagitus while walking way.

Rettan and Jellirox refused to leave Narium alone, so they walked with him to a house at the outskirts of the village. The house was nearly destroyed, but full of plants and gardens all around, and the village could be seen from afar. Jellirox cooked as Rettan sat in a table outside and Narium stood next to it. Jellirox smiled and served the soup to everyone along with a bowl of berries in the center of the table and sat down with Rettan to eat.
"Narium, please tell us everything that happened at Centaur with you and Sagitus" asked Jellirox.

"I was the leader of Centaur vilage for centuries, and everyone was happy. Once we were in a colosseum exhibition, and my pupil who was Sagitus failed in the task and killed the people in the exposition, I scolded him in the middle of the colosseum, that the art of fighting was not to kill, It is just to keep the balance of the spirit, you cannot fight with darkness in your heart, or else you could become posessed by darkness, Sagitus didn't understand that, and the next day, he blew the horn of battle, and he challenged me to a duel, the winner became leader of the village. Everyone had faith in me, so we went to the colosseum. Sagitus had a strange new dark power never before seen, and I was defeated. I was the idol for all, and I failed, I was humiliated, and now I can´t take my own reality... Sagitus is a corrupted being, the city is scared of him, that is why no one stands agaisnt him..." told Narium.

"Serf and Gullio told me Centaur is the land of knowledge..." said Rettan.

"Centaur is turning barbaric, it's selling its soul to evil, just for limitless power in exchange..." answered Narium.

"What do you mean Narium? Is Centaur with Apozen?" asked Jellirox.

"How do you two know of Apozen?!" asked Narium.

Rettan and Jellirox told the entire story to Narium.

"So you are Rettan the seraphym who lost his powers... If that would be true, heh, then we would have much in common, but I won't permit such lies in my house, now leave, I am no joke to laugh at! FOOLS!" said Narium as he slammed the table.

Rettan and Jellirox were startled, so they stood up and started leaving. Jellirox looked back, and Rettan insisted her to keep walking. Jellirox stopped and sat down in the grass. From there, Narium could be seen standing in a very tall rock, staring at the village with fire in his eyes.

"Ret... We have to go back" said Jellirox.

"Why should we go back?! He is a stubborn old Centaur!" claimed Rettan.

"Look at him Ret... He has fallen, to an evil force, We must help him..." said Jellirox.

Rettan looked at Narium and felt the transmission of Narium´s feelings into his heart and mind. Rettan was shocked, quickly he felt the fury Narium was feeling and screamed in rage. His eyes were burning with fire too, as he decided to run to see Narium again. While running Narium noticed, and he began to run to tackle Rettan and finish him. Rettan while running took out his dagger. Narium reaches Rettan with a tackle, but Rettan manages to hold his arms and jump above him and land on him as if mounting a horse. Narium was shocked and began rampaging as he tried to make Rettan fall off of him.Rettan closed his eyes and concentrated, as he finally managed to connect his feelings and mind with Narium, just like Narium did before. Narium calmed down as his eyes turned white.

"I know how you feel, and now it's the time, to prove that you are the best, that good beats evil," said Rettan.

Narium woke up from his strange mind state, and dropped Rettan.

"What do you want from me Seraphym" asked Narium.

"I just need your knowledge, your assistance to find my wife" asked Rettan.

"Laoni has not been seen anywhere near centaur, I apologize" claimed Narium.

Rettan crumbled to the ground, as he laid in the grass, depressed and with no hope. Looking at the night stars, the voice of a small girl is heard.

"Daddy remember my only demand... Never lose faith" echoed the voice of a little girl from the stars.

"Little E... --" mumbled Rettan as he was interrupted by a punch of Narium. Rettan got up holding his face and whining.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" Screamed Rettan while whining and holding his face.

"For you to snap out of it, I am not a psychic, and I am not a teacher, You gain knowledge by yourself, the only answer is in you" said Narium.

Rettan looked Narium into his eyes, and saw that fire again, Rettan stood up once more, looked at Jellirox and Narium.

"Alright Narium, but I won't leave this village, unless you beat Sagitus in a battle, since you say you are so strong and you have so much pride, you won't have a problem with gaining your leadership again" said Rettan.

"I... I..." Narium mumbled nervously.

"Don´t be a donkey, you are a centaur, you can do it Narium, Sagitus may be stronger, but you are smarter." said Jellirox.

"Never lose faith... someone very important to me said that..." said Rettan.

Narium smiled, as Rettan after that asked him to train together till morning, to be prepared for the fight of the centaurs. As said, they trained all night, as Jellirox watched them and took care of the egg she found in Azuorph forest, and later on falling asleep as Narium and Rettan kept training.

They began to rise as Jellirox wakes up with the first rays of sun, hugging the egg, she sees Narium and Rettan tired, still in battle position, as they both collapse. Jellirox gets scared and runs to Narium and Rettan and revitalizes them. The trio look at each other and smile.
Later on...

Rettan, Jellirox, and Narium are seen walking in the streets of Centaur village, headed to the main square, everyone looked at them, wondering what was gonna happen. When they reach the square, Narium blows the horn of battle, making everyone back off, as Sagitus turns around in the square and looks at the trio.

"You have just blown the horn of battle..." said Sagitus.

"Sagitus, Narium dares you to another battle, and if you win this time, Narium will leave the village forever," said Rettan.

"And if you lose, you will be exiled from the village, and Narium shall be the leader again," said Jellirox.

Sagitus laughed and walked up to Narium slowly...

"It will be my pleasure to accept this challenge, another time to humiliate you gramps," answered Sagitus.

The two centaurs were walking to the Centaur Village Colosseum to fight, as everyone followed them, throwing fruits and rocks at Narium and insulting him, as everyone rooted for Sagitus. As they entered the colosseum in ruins, Narium stares down at the sand, as he recalls the memories of being beaten, he looks around at all the people, rooting agaisnt him, and his legs begin to shake and he begins to sweat. All of a sudden Narium seems to be getting dizzy, and Sagitus is seen saying "Hello" to the crowd and showing off.

"LET THE FIGHT BEGIN!" Screamed a Centaur as the horn of battle was blown.

Echoes of the horn are heard in Narium´s dizzy and confused mind. He begins to see everything white, until he sees a fist that breaks the white and strikes his face, leaving him stunned. Again only able to see white, he sees a boot breaking the whiteness and hitting him in the face again. When he looked down to the boot, he notices it was Rettan´s boot. He looks to the crowd and sees Rettan.

"STUPID HORSE DO SOMETHING ALREADY BEFORE I GO DOWN AND BEAT YOU MYSELF! I DIDN'T SLEEP ALL NIGHT BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPIDITY, REMEMBER NOT TO LOSE FAITH YOU LOSER," screamed Rettan.

"WHY YOU LITTLE!! IM GONNA DEAL WITH YOU WHEN I GET OUT OF THIS! AND ILL BREAK EACH OF YOUR LITTLE BONES TO SMITHEREENS," screamed Narium angrily.
"THEN BEAT THAT FOOL, AND COME GET ME!!" Rettan screamed as well as laughed.
"What if he beats him fast and comes to beat you down bro?" asked Jellirox.

"Oh no... I didn't think of that... I´d run... or something," answered Rettan.

"Uhm... NARIUM!! I JUST WANTED TO MAKE YOU MAD SO YOU BEAT HIM!! I'M SORRY!!" screamed Rettan.

"Faith in myself..." Narium looked at Rettan and smiled.

Then he focused on the battle, and began a fierce fight with fists against Sagitus. Narium tries to strike him and misses, as Sagitus attempts to punch him, but Narium manages to grab his arm and send him flying agaisnt the weapons in the wall. Sagitus laughs and grabs a bow. Quickly Sagitus shoots an arrow at Narium, but he blocks it by picking up a huge Axe and slicing the arrow in the air. Sagitus was shocked by his reaction. He throws the bow and grabs a humongous hammer, Narium throws the axe and grabs a whip. Sagitus charged at Narium with his hammer, as Narium throws the whip at Sagitus´s legs, causing him to tangle up and fall. As Sagitus falls the hammer loses balance and crashes on top of Satigus, leaving him nearly dead. Narium walks up to Sagitus slowly, grabs Sagitus´s bow, and walks right next to the stunned and frail Sagitus.
The crowd began to scream for Sagitus, as Narium laughed, and prepares to shoot an arrow to Sagitus´s forhead, but notice´s Sagitus´s eyes full of tears, Narium screams and shoots the arrow. Sagitus screams and faints, Narium laughs, because he shot the arrow at Sagitus´s leg, in the same place Sagitus hit him for a final blow in his past defeat. Suddenly the crowd begins to cheer for Narium, as Narium runs and jumps into the crowd and grabs Rettan.

"Thanks Rettan..." said Narium.

All the villagers began to scream and cheer for the new ruler of Centaur. Narium walks to the middle of the colosseum again as everyone celebrates and looks around at everyone.

"CITIZENS OF CENTAUR... I have an announcement" said Narium.

The crowd screamed of joy and began to listen to Narium.

"I am disapointed of you all, you all loved me, when I was beaten you hated me and humiliated me, and when I win again, you love me again. You are all nothing but interested hypocrites. I have learned many things, not to degrade myself just because of what people say, I have learned to always have faith, I have learned that intelligence beats power, and that you beings... aren't worthy of my leadership. So I will leave this town, to follow my own path, alone, without no influences, and hopefully all of you will learn from how stupid you all were, goodbye." said Narium as he walked out of the colosseum.

"Damn... he owns..." said Jellirox.

"He´s a good guy, I hope we see him sometime, Well Jelli, now where can we go, since this place was useless?" asked Rettan.

"How can you say you learned nothing? After all Narium said? You must learn by yourself, follow your own path, Narium won everything, and then decided to laugh at everyone and search for his destiny, where his heart would take him, he won't lose faith, he won't guide himself by what people say... I think we have learned a lot brother," answered Jellirox.

"You opened my eyes, but now... Where can we go, since our business in Centaur is over now..." asked Rettan.

"It's a big world out there, but if we head to Aeven, maybe my tutor, the Witch or even Wiseman could help out with something," answered Jellirox.

"Then to the capital... Aeven city we go... C'mon Jelli, let´s follow our path," said Rettan.

"TO AEVEN!!" screamed Jellirox.

Suddenly a shadow is seen of a teen boy with a cat like hat, whiskers, black suit, and paws. Spying on our heros behind a wall...

"Hah! To Aeven? Cj will jump the two and steal their shiny things, because Cj like shiny things..."said the cat boy...

Chapter #3 - Mother instinct

The sun is falling, marking the end of the day, as our heroes walk through the Azuorph forest, as the first stars begin to apear in the darkening sky. Rettan and Jellirox are headed to Centaur wondering if the answer of Laoni´s location lies there.

"Ret... Bro..." called Jellirox.

"Yes Jello?" asked Rettan.
"There is a special kind of Mushroom im suposed to take to my tutor Ayla that lies deep within this forest. Can we look for it?" said Jellirox.

"Um... sure, its on the way to Centaur anyways right?" said Rettan.
Rettan and Jellirox kept walking, searching for the special Mushroom that shines in the dark.

Meanwhile, at an unknown place. A dark place, only lit by lava, in a terrifying looking lair, guarded by Hell guardians... Apozen sits in his throne, still with his face completely covered due to the last attack, still alive.

"There must be a way to catch that Rettan... But he still gets away, even from that Birdman I sent to attack him... But I am sure I have found the person that will aid me finding them..." Said Apozen in a furious way.

Suddenly little girl giggles are heard from the darkness, Apozen looks all around, and a little finger pokes his shoulder. It was a little puppetlike girl, even though she had a sweet face, evil could only be expressed by her look. Apozen got mad and tried to crush her with his arm, but the little puppet giggled and floated right in front of Apozen.

"You will have to do better than that big bad devil" said the little puppet while giggling.

"What do you want Fleurygal?!" screamed Apozen.

"Oh Lord Apozen you know you need aid from my superior and horrorific mind right?" giggled Fleurygal while skipping around dancing.

"What do you have planned?" asked Apozen.

"Pretty easy my lord. But for a change I will have to become your right hand, em´ I being clear?" asked Fleurygal.

Apozen agreed as Fleurygal grinned in an evil way. She agreed to plan the killing of Rettan. So she warped with her magic a servant of hers. From the darkness of the warp, a man in a tuxido steps out, with black cape, a big hat, and grudge in his heart and eyes.

"This man my lord, I have a small um... "deal" with him, he is the most powerful magician ever, So I think its a good idea to hire him as a personal servant and assign my "special" misions, such as killing that idiot." Said Fleurygal.

Apozen looked at the dark magician and asked for his name.

"My name... is Waveblade my lord... it is my pleasure to be your elite server" said the Dark magician while saluting Apozen.

Apozen laughed, and smiled at Waveblade, and sent him back to the world, with the mission of killing the survivor angel.

Back in Azuorph forest. Rettan and Jellirox have been walking all over the forest through a long night. Until they feel a red flash that starles them, and all the animals begin to run and fly away very fast. Rettan and Jellirox felt awkward and just kept walking, until Jellirox manages to see the shining Mushroom and runs to it, which was in the shadow of a tree. As soon as Jellirox puts the mushroom in her bag, her attention is cought by a strange object.Rettan walked up to Jellirox and also becomes paralized of such an object.

"Its a pretty egg right bro?" said Jellirox.

"Why yes, but what does it have inside?" asked Rettan.

"I don´t know, but we should take it, poor baby its all abandoned" answered Jellirox while snuggling the egg and covering it with leaves and putting it away in her bag aswell.

In that moment a huge creature attacks Rettan and Jellirox making them run. The creature was an Azuorph, it was a huge green bug like creature, with huge sword arms, and two radar eyes, and it could float. Rettan and Jellirox ran from the Azuorph, as they concluded that was the mother of the little egg. While running Rettan asked Jellirox to give back the egg, but Jellirox disobeyed because the Azuorph was being extra agressive against their normally passive attitude and that the baby egg could be in danger if she did. Rettan and Jellirox kept running until they found themselves completely surrounded by the entire comunity of Azuorphs, they were surrounded, for a sure death. As soon as the largest Azuorph charges to attack them, a slash divides the creature in half, when the dead Azuorph crashes agaisnt the floor, a warrior with a red suit, and red hair is revealed. The warrior quickly throws a smoke bomb and manages to escape with Rettan and Jellirox, leading them to a fort with a huge in the middle.

"Um... Thank you for saving us... but where are we, and who are you?" asked Rettan.
Jellirox was playing with a bunch of snails and feeding them mushrooms as she also showed the egg to the snails.

"I am the warrior that protects this snail lake from any beast, and my name, is Rauchel" Said the warrior as he smiled.
"Snails?" asked Rettan.

Rettan looked around him and saw a whole community of snails, all over the place, all of them coexisting together as a tribe, the harmony of their living was evident thanks to Rauchel´s care.

"So Rauchel, what do you exactly do?" asked Rettan.

"I protect this community because they raised me here since I was abandoned in this forest. I learned the art of fighting when my master Gullio came here constantly, I built this fort like place, surrounding the lakefront. I also working on the making of an armor, but I still need to study it. Ive made defense structures too" answered Rauchel.

Jellirox and Rettan were amazed by looking at Rauchel´s best crafting work, a big catapult.

"Well, Im glad you like the catapult, but we must find a solution about this Azuorph situation, we are currently trapped here you know... I mean look from the watch tower" said Rauchel.

A small blue snail with a greenish shell and a tie goes up to Rauchel and snuggles agaisnt his foot.

"Oh this is Whirl, we have been friends for a long time" said Rauchel laughing.

"Aw he is so cute!" Jellirox screamed while grabbing and petting Whirl.

Rettan climbed up the watch tower and saw an infinity of shining eyes in the darkness, and the blade-like arms recflecting the moon. The Azumorphs waited for their pray to come out. After that Rauchel made dinner, as Rettan wondered what to do next, and Jellirox played with the snails. Dinner was made, Rettan and Jellirox told Rauchel all about their journey in search for Laoni.

"This is not good guys, we have been trapped like 6 hours here" said Rettan.

"We gotta make it to Centaur quick, my sister in law is in danger" claimed Jellirox.

"There is something going through my mind, but im not sure..." said Rauchel.

"EVERYTHING IS FINE RAUCHEL, Its... my wife..." claimed Rettan worried.

Meanwhile, between the whole mass of Azuorphs, A man is seen, laughing, staring at the fortress, smiling and laughing gently. It was Waveblade, who was controlling all the Azuorphs with his magic. Suddenly from the shadows Fleurygal comes out and laughs while skipping through the branches.

"You are taking quite long to kill two humans and a powerless angel my Wavey" Claimed Fleurygal.

"Let me be, patience is golden" said Waveblade.

"But time is money" replied Fleurygal.

"Remember... I have that precious little thing that once belonged to you, you dont want me to do anything with it, right Wavey? Oh c´mon! Hurry up and don´t make little Fleury wait!"
remarked Fleurygal while laughing and warping back to the shadows.

"... Time for me to attack then" mummbled Waveblade.

Back in the Lakefront fortress, Rettan and Jellirox are sitting in the catapult. As Rauchel looks nervous with his sword, not knowing if he should cut the rope or not.

"AAAAAAAAAAH DON'T DO IT! IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY?!" Screamed and whined Rettan.

"Bro, the only way is for Rauchel to uh... *gulp* Send us flying with the catapult" explained Jellirox.

Rettan kept screaming and trying to get down from the catapult as Jellirox tried to keep him still, Rauchel began to explain the plan, if they were launched very far from the Azuorphs, they could have the chance to escape running from them, all the way North to a path that would take them to the exit of the forest.

"PLEASE DONT DO IT!! I BEG YOU!!" Screamed and squirmed Rettan.

"3..." counted Jelli.

"2..." counted Rauchel.

"Rawr... " attempted to count Whirl.

"AAAAAAH" Screamed Rettan.

Rauchel cut the rope as Rettan and Jellirox were launched to the air, Waveblade managed to see that and tried to trap them with his magic, altering their course, making them crash to a tree which they got stuck in the treetop. Waveblade warped himself below the tree and laughed at them, the Azuorphs began to hit the tree attempting them to fall down. The mother of the Azuorph egg got below the tree too.

"This was not a nice flight, AGH I NEED MY WINGS!" whined Rettan.

"Brother, who is that man below?" asked Jellirox while holding the egg.

"I--" answered Rettan while being interrupted by a large tackle of an Azuorph right to the tree causing everything to shake.

Waveblade got mad and casted an energy ball and threw the spell to Jellirox which was being directed to the Azuorph egg in her hands. Jellirox turned around, making the energy ball hit her back and knocking her off the tree while Rettan tried to grab her but failed. Jellirox hugged the egg and tried to land on her feet so the egg wouldn't be damaged, putting her life in danger to protect the egg. The mother Azuorph saw that with her hypnotized eyes as Waveblade prepared another energy ball.

"You stupid girl made me miss my target!!" claimed Waveblade while aproaching to Jellirox with an energy ball in his hand.

Jellirox protected the egg in her arms as Waveblade screams and casts the spell directed to her and the egg to end their lives, Jellirox closes her eyes waiting for the attack to kill her but suddenly hears a loud cry, she slowly opens her eyes and sees the Azuorph mother in the middle taking all the attack.

As soon as the flashes ended, the Azuorph mother collapses to the ground, and Jellirox runs to see it. Quickly Rettan jumps furiously from the tree to the ground and takes out his dagger pointing it to Waveblade.

"Who are you?!" demanded Rettan.

"My name is Waveblade, and I am a principal servant of Lord Apozen, I am the greatest magic user of all time, and yes my mission is to exterminate you" laughed Wavevlade while presenting himself.

Rettan runs to attack Waveblade, trying to stab him with his face. Waveblade grabs the dagger tightly with his hand and begins to bleed and insanely laugh.

"You actually managed to reach me, you have me impressed for just being an inferior being, and angel with no powers" said Waveblade laughing.

Waveblade notices that with the bleeding he lost control of the Azuorphs, as Rettan smiles and tells him that all the Azuorphs are agaisnt Waveblade for hurting the mother of the Azuorph egg. Waveblade looks at himself surrounded by the creatures and finally warps away from the scene. Quickly Rettan runs to Jellirox and the mother Azuorph and sees Jellirox crying hugging the egg.
"Whats wrong?!" asked Rettan.

"The mother... is dead..." cried Jellirox.

Rettan remained silent...

"Before she died, she looked at me, like I could understand what she was saying, like we had a connection... She said... to take care of the baby... and that I had the courage and protection of a mother, and that the baby will be fine with me" cried Jellirox.

"You are his mother now" whispered a small breeze...

As the sun began to rise, Rauchel, the Azuorphs, Rettan, Jellirox, and the snails gathered to dig the Azuorph mother a grave, and a dawn of hope started to shine in everyone´s hearts, inspired by a mother´s sacrifice to save her child. The Azumorphs went back into the forest with an inspiration, as the snails did too.Rettan and Jellirox walked with Rauchel and Whirl all the way to the forest exit.

"A new day starts, and so will a new life too, good luck to both of you my friends, this route will lead you directly to Centaur city" said Rauchel.

"I guess its time for us to be more optimistic and more positive in our thoughts and actions, Im sure the future in Centaur will bring many answers, and you will to good to Rauchel" claimed Rettan.

Whirl beings to crawl to Jellirox and looks at her. Jellirox smiles to Whirl as he takes off his snail tie and gives it to her. Jellirox smiles even more, happier and hugs Whirl.

"Well well well, a snail tie is one of the largest meanings of friendship or affection that can come from a snail, you have impressed me quite alot Jellirox, well my friends, someday we will meet again." smiled Rauchel while speaking.

As so, Rettan and Jellirox leave the forest of Azuorphs, headed to Centaur city, where either their journey will end, or begin. With a new companion waiting to be born, in a new day.

Meanwhile in the darkness... Waveblade is seen, with fear in his face...

The singing of a little girl is heard, as Fleurygal apears right in front of Waveblade...

"You failed me today... Little Fleurygal is mad now, and so, you shall be punished... hehehe" said Fleurygal as an infernal scream of torture echoes in the darkness...

Chapter 2 - Deja Vu

Chapter #2 - Deja Vu

Walking through a long road headed Northwest in search of the home of the Centaurs, Rettan stops by a river to refresh himself. He begins to hear the sound of footsteps near, and sees a girl not far from him collecting strawberries. Rettan smiles and continues splashing the water onto his face. The girl notices Rettan there and runs up to him. She was observing him closely and her eyes began to fill with tears. Rettan was shocked and asked her what was wrong. The girl got alarmed and left running into the forest. Rettan noticed that she had an answer for something, so he started running after her into the forest.

While running after her, he began to notice the same trees, the same road, the same rocks; as if he was going in circles and always winding up in the same place. Rettan stopped, feeling tired, and layed in the floor completely exausted.

"Holy crack... wha... what's going on here?" Rettan said breathing hard.
Then he looks up and notices a signpost. He scratches the leaves blocking the text and reads, "Do not enter - Woods of Despair".

Rettan stared at the signpost, until he started hearing running footsteps. He quickly got up and started following the sound to hopefully meet up with the girl. Then he began to hear wing flaps, so he started running faster, he knew it was obviously a huge bird since the flaps were heard so clearly. Running by, following his ear, he ends up hearing the scream of a girl. Rettan gets shocked by the sound and runs even faster and finally arrives to see a huge Birdman, a bunch of strawberries spread all over the floor, and the girl in the Birdman´s arms. The Birdman was about twelve feet tall, had huge wings, brown feathers, and silver chest armor.

"Hey let her go, release her!" Rettan demanded.

"She was found near our territory, she is now to be punished with the penalty of death!" The Birdman claimed.

"What´s your problem?! Let her go!!" Rettan demanded once more.

"She already passed out, I´ll just take her to our base and decide how to kill her. It is necessary that she is killed; she is a threat, it's the only way my rank shall go up," The Birdman claimed once more.

"LET HER GO!" screamed Rettan, and jumped the Birdman with his dagger, striking him in the arm. The Birdman released the girl, tossing her to the floor, as he moved his arm violently to release it from Rettan who was hanging from it because of the dagger in the Birdmen´s arm. The Birdman screamed and became more violent every second until the dagger was released of his arm, sending Rettan flying against a tree...

"Must... remember the techniques of defying gravity... If I step on the tree and impulse back, that way I'll strike him with the dagger directly between his eyes and he shall go down... Yeah that´s what I'm gonna do," mumbled Rettan while flying directly to the tree... Rettan starts screaming and the log of the tree hits between his legs crushing every man´s weakspot.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" screamed Rettan, holding his "talent" as he fell to the ground, and the Birdman laughed insanely against a tree. As Rettan crawled in the ground trying to recover from such pain, he realizes the Birdman is distracted from laughing so much.

"Time for Plan B then. I shall use the most ancient technique which can only be used in the most extreme cases..." mumbled Rettan, while standing up.

"The technique is to... RUN!!" Rettan screamed running from the Birdman and grabbing the girl from his clutches, hoisting her onto his back.

Rettan kept running from the Birdman, harder and as fast as he could. It took the large creature a little while, but the dim-witted thing eventually realized his prey and enemy were getting away, and began to furiously race after them. Running through the woods, Rettan didn't know what else to do. He kept running every direction but always ended in the same place, until the girl started mumbling to Rettan... "North... East... South... West...." Rettan began to run in all of those directions. He ran North, he ran East, he ran South and noticed that the Wast direction was blocked by a wall of ivys with a big rock behind them.

"Hey, I can't run in that direction, there is no path! There is no way!" whined Rettan while running.

"Be quiet, keep running, and trust me big bro," said the girl and fainted again.

"Quite bossy eh? Fine I´ll trust you! Wait what do you mean by br--" said Rettan until he crossed the ivys and started falling down a cliff, and ended up diving in a lake.

As soon as Rettan reaches the surface with the girl, a group of gnomes where laughing and clapping at them.

"Nice dive kid! Hey! Oh no! Miss Jellirox is wounded!" one of the gnomes said.

"Jelli... rox?... Why does that sound so familiar...?" Rettan asked himself.

"What did you do to her! You demon!" claimed another gnome.

The girl, Jellirox mumbled... "He saved me... don´t mistreat him please..."

The gnomes starred at Rettan, and decided to take them to their secret village in the Gnome forest. After walking deep within the forest, through waterfalls and rivers, Rettan admired the beauties of the world the mortals lived in and began to understand life with an end. As he dozed off observing everything, he finally moves a branch, and sees an amazing forest before his eyes, with the trees as houses, and houses in the trees, with bridges and small boardwalks between trees; it was the Gnome´s Forest. As he arrived, every gnome starred at him, as they walked to the house of the Gnome Elder, Visir. All of a sudden an old gnome, the oldest there walks out of his tree and looks at Rettan.

"So you are the human who saved Jellirox I see..." said Visir.

"Human?? I am an Angel! A Seraphim!" claimed Rettan.

"That is not important now, we must hurry to save Jellirox," said Visir, while taking his cane out to heal her.

Lights began to sparkle, surrounding her coming from the cane, as she begins to move again. After the shining, Rettan was shocked to see such power coming from a mortal, and he sees the girl slowly open her eyes. The girl manages to sit down and says hello to all the gnomes, and all the gnomes seemed to be happy that she was better again. Visir asked to make a party that night in the forest ritual square to celebrate the fact that she was saved.
That night, in the moment of the party, it was a dark night, lit by torches in the middle of the forest, decorated with a clear sky full of stars, costumes of gnomes dressing up as monsters, others as seraphims, and even of the gods, and music in the air. Rettan was sitting near the fire as he noticed the gnomes eating all sorts of things from a huge pot with soup, drinking, and dancing - some of them even drunk. So he walked up to Jellirox and sat next to her, who was enjoying the music played by the gnomes.

"HEY JELLIROX," screamed Rettan because of the loud music.

"YES RETTAN?!" screamed Jellirox back.

"HEY WHY DO I FEEL AS IF I KNOW YOU?!" he tried to ask.

"WHAT?! I CANT HEAR YOU!" screamed Jellirox.

"-.- ... CAN WE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO TALK PLEASE?!" screamed Rettan once more.

Jellirox and Rettan walked far from the village, back to the entrance where the village could be seen from above the cliff. Rettan noticed a huge cave north of the village and asked what it was.

"That is the forbidden cave of the Orcs, the one who enters, never comes out," said Jellirox.

"Why...? Because the exit is on the other side?" asked Rettan.

"You dummy. You are still the same, never changing," laughed Jellirox and suddenly got startled and turned her back.

"What do you mean by that Jellirox??" asked Rettan, perplexed.

"Nevermind..," Jelli tried to evade the conversation.

"Oh c'mon! You started something, now finish it!" said Rettan in an altered tone.

"Uhm... I dont know how to say this Rettan... but I do believe you are an angel, because you even were one when you were a human," said Jellirox while looking at the stars.

"Wha... What do you mean??" asked Rettan, obviously confused.

"Rettan, fifteen years ago... I had a big brother. He was an energetic seven year old boy, and always played with me in the strawberry fields when I was only three years old. One day our lives changed forever, when an evil man arrived to our perfect home saying he would spare me, mom´s and dad´s life if we just let him take your life in exchange... but mom and dad resisted and I was crying, that is when the man said he would kill all of us, so he attacked mom and dad and you got in the middle and it hit you. Then you fell into the floor with a strong wound in your back, spitting blood. Then he attacked again and he killed mom and dad, so I started crying more and more, as you were crying without being able to move, but then, you started screaming in pain, and wings came out from the wound you had in your back, and your eyes began to express pure power... but celestial... something to hard to describe. You attacked the man and wounded him, then he turned into a HUGE bone spider, and you had a very long fight.. but you ended the fight by throwing him down a cliff... then you looked at me, and flew up into the skies... never to be seen again... until today..." said Jellirox.

"I... don´t remember how I arrived to the heavens, or anything before... I didn't even know I was human... this is too strange! If it's true... How did you make it to go on all alone?" asked Rettan

"Well after that happened I ran away crying and scared until I arrived to Aeven, the biggest city in Vultia, and I was raised by the Witch. That is where I learned my healing arts from. One day picking up mushrooms I ended lost in these woods, and I found a wounded gnome who happened to be Visir, so I healed him. Since that day I grew a tight friendship with all the gnomes, and come to visit every once and so on, even teaching them my healing arts. I guess seeing that I'm safe even though I wasa hurt by that Birdman made them want to organize that party," told Jellirox.

"Wow, so this is why I feel that I already knew you..." said Rettan.

All of a sudden a huge flap of wings is heard and a terrifying cry stuns Jellirox and Rettan. As revealing from the trees, it was the Birdman that attacked them earlier. He charges to attack Rettan and Jellirox, and they decide to jump from the cliff to dive into the lake near the town again.

"I'M AFRAID OF HEIGHTS!" screamed Jellirox.

"DONT WORRY YOU WILL BE DOWN SOON ANYWAYS," screamed Rettan.

"THATS WHY I DONT LIKE THE IDEA OF FALLIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!" screamed and whined Jellirox.

Ending with a huge splash, when they reached the surface, they could see the Birdman keeping his loud crying and flying in cirles, until he finally flies into the direction of the village. Rettan and Jellirox got out of the water and ran quickly to the village.

"Jellirox... do you know how to fight?" asked Rettan while running.

"Uhm... sort of, I'm better with magic you know..." answered Jellirox, running along beside him.

The village could finally be seen. Rettan quickly ran to a tree and started climbing up it as the Birdman was causing panic through the village. Jellirox understood Rettan´s idea so she began to distract the Birdman. The gnomes started throwing rocks and attacking the Birdman with their staffs, making the creature even more mad, and he began to destroy things even more with his rage. Suddenly, Rettan dives into the Birdman from a tree top, holding his dagger, stabbing his shoulder, leaving the dagger inside again, and Rettan hanging of the dagger again. The Birdman was crazy and started swinging Rettan again as he tried to resist. The Birdman went close to the square where the party was being held before the rampage and kept swinging Rettan. While resisting and struggling Rettan finally came up with a plan. As soon as he saw the middle campfire,the pot of soup, and the entrance to Orc´s cave, Rettan asked Jellirox to command everyone to distract the Birdman, leading him to the center of the square. When it reached the center, Rettan caused even more pressure with his dagger in the wound so the Birdman started to rampage even more, causing him to step on the campire and burn his feet. Rettan released the dagger and jumped off. With the pain of the burn, the Birdman stepped on the pot full of soup, getting his leg stuck in the pot. In that moment Rettan, Jellirox, and the gnomes got a rope around his foot and started pulling, causing the Birdman to trip and to start rolling, impacting himself inside the Orc´s cave. One last and long creepy cry is finally heard. A few moments of silence passed, and the Gnomes begin to celebrate, and Rettan and Jellirox smile at eachother.

"We did it big bro!! We saved the gnomes!!" Jellirox exclaimed.

"Big... Bro... I like the sound of it," Rettan says, smiling at his newly found sister.

"You acted like how the legends speak of the Grand Seraphim Rettan - you begin to make me believe its true what you say... anyhow... please tell us why are you here anyways," said Visir.

Rettan told the whole story to all the gnomes and to Jellirox.

"This village is in debt to you Rettan, if there is anything we can aid you with in your quest, just tell us! I have a feeling Laoni is alright, and with your spirit you will achieve to defeat Apozen someday... But Laoni is top priority right now. I suggest you rest tonight. The land of the Centaurs isn't that far from here, but be careful on the way when you reach the Azumorph forest!"

The next morning, at the Woods of Despair entrance, Rettan, Jellirox, and the gnomes were all there to say their goodbyes. Rettan said goodbye to each gnome and Visir walked up to him with a gnome doll.

"This doll is of good luck. With this doll, you take each and every one of us in your journey. Take care of it, because it will take care of us, Rettan. Thank you so much for everything," said Visir.

"I will keep it close with me. This will represent the faith of the gnomes, to save the world," Rettan smiled and held the gnome doll tightly in his hand.

Jellirox was looking at the sky, her face twisted into an odd expression.

"What is it, Jelli?" asked Rettan.

"It's just... that I keep thinking. I wonder what kind of girl my big bro is searching for.. and I wanna meet her, my sister in law, Laoni," Jelli said smiling.

Rettan looked confused and started stepping back. Quickly, Jellirox grabs Rettan´s arm and starts pulling him.

"C'mon big bro! You will let me come with you!! I can even be useful! Wasn't I great with the Birdman? I can heal you too!! We are a great duo!! C'mon c'mon c'mon!!" said Jellirox, while pulling Rettan´s arm.

"Even if I said no... I guess I have no choice," whined Rettan.

"YES!! FINALLY REUNITED WITH MY BROTHER!! AND NOW IM EVEN GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD! HOORAY!" screamed Jellirox.

Visir watched Jellirox playing with Rettan as he whined about him being bothered by Jellirox´s randomness. Visir said in a low voice to himself, "This group will get larger, and they will change the fate of this doomed world... may the gods bless you and light your path youngsters."
The gnomes screamed their goodbyes, as the duo walked a new day, to a new place, with optimism to find out about the lost Laoni in the land of the Centaurs...

Chapter #1 - Broken wings

Chapter 1, Broken wings.

Sky wonder palace. A fierce battle is taken in the skies, as the battle between good and evil begins with celestial and demonic attacks are held. All of a sudden an angel is seen fighting and evading attacks with enormous speed jumping from rooftop to rooftop all around the palace.

All of a sudden the angel reaches the throne room of the palace and sees one more angel agaisnt a simple human with a dark robe covering most of his face, however, extreme perfection could be seen in the uncovered parts of his face.

"Let the eternity of darkness and chaos rule this universe" said the man in the robe.

"I cannot believe its you Apozen... You betrayed us..." said the angel that was already in the room.

"I am the fallen angel prophecies spoke of always, I already assasinated your pathetic god, now either you are in my legion or you are out" said Apozen.

"Even though my leader is dead, I shall cast judgement upon you!" said the angel.

The angel put his sword up in the air and it started glowing.

"Do not bring me your misedicordious nonsense, if that is your choice, then let it be, HELL GUARDIANS!" Said Apozen

All of a sudden a large ammount of monsters like skulls with fire surrounding them attempt to attack the angel, but instantly they are stricken by light arrows of the other angel.

"Ret be careful" said the angel.

"Laoni..." said Ret looking at her.

All of a sudden Apozen begins to load power and the tiles of the Sky Wonder Palace begin to shatter, the structure begins to tremble as Rettan and Laoni begin to get terrified with such power, as Apozen laughs insanely. Laoni and Rettan look at each other and they agree to attack, even if they have to sacrifice their lives. The duo just close their eyes and dive with all their power agaisnt Apozen creating a gigantic explosion, that could be seen as a supernova from the world below. Rettan and Laoni fly into different directions from the explosion of the Sky wonder palace as Apozen screams, getting his perfect skin burned, but insanely laughing at the fall of the celestial kingdom...

-*-*JETS INTO FREEDOM*-*-The legend of the war for peace

"Its about time you wake up kid" said an old man.

"Huh?! Who are you?!" said Rettan waking up quickly.

"My name is Serf" said the old man.

"Where is Laoni?! What happened with Apozen?!" said Rettan jumping out of the bed.

"So that is how you treat someone that healed your wounds and has taken care of you during your sleep that lasted 2 weeks?" said Serf laughing.

"I... I'm sorry" said Rettan calming down.

"Now, tell me your name youngster" said Serf offering some water.

"My name is Rettan, where am I?" said Rettan

"You have been mumbling the name Laoni and something about the glory of Vult in your sleep, you sound as if you think you are the grand seraphym Rettan, you must have hit your head hard, you are just a simple human." said Serf.

"I AM THE GRAND SERAPHYM YOU HUMAN!" screamed Rettan to old Serf.

"Yes sure, whatever you say oh omnipotent lord" said Serf sarcastically.

"Don´t make me judge you! grrrr Judgement!!!!..." Rettan put his hand in front of Serf's face.

"You done yet?" said Serf.

"W... Why isn't it working?" said Rettan looking at his hand.

"Like I said, you are a simple human being I found with Gullio while looking for mushrooms near Gnome forest the night the great explosion from the sky happened." said Serf.

"So it did happen... Alright gramps where am I? I gotta hurry and find Laoni" Said Rettan, adjusting his boots.

"This is the farm lands, this here place is the Goat farm, south east of Centaur village." said Serf.

"Well I thank you for saving me and all but I gotta get going." said Rettan.
"If I were you I wouldnt go out without a weapon, since the supernova, many monsters started apearing" said Serf.

"So... What am I supposed to do?" said Rettan.

"Stay here for a while maybe..." said Serf.

"But Laoni... where could she be?" said Rettan.

All of a sudden an older man walks into the room, stares at Rettan, and smiles.

"Where ever she is... Im sure she is fine." said the old man.

"This is my brother Gullio." said Serf.

Gullio stared at Rettan, and walked back outside. Rettan asked himself why did he have such strange attitude, then all of a sudden he saw in his hand a dagger.

"O.o how did this get here?!" said Rettan.

"Oh that Gullio, he loves to freak people out with his magic" said Serf laughing.

Rettan was shocked

"Well now you can go out to search for the girl" said Serf.

Rettan smiled and started to walk out of the house to thank Gullio, but all of a sudden a black thunder striked outside, and two creatures named Twindemons were floating in front of Gullio. Rettan rushed to attack the Twindemons but is interrupted by a shadowball attack. It was Apozen, with a mask covering his burned face, that had suddenly teleported there. Suddenly Apozen attacks Rettan with that shadowball again and slams him to the floor leaving him nearly defeated in the floor.

"I finally found you Grand Seraphym, now I shall destroy you just like I did to all the angels, and to your wife Laoni" said Apozen aproaching to Rettan.

"You killed..." said Rettan hardly speaking.

Quickly Gullio stands in front of Apozen, covering him from Rettan and opening his arms.

"Youngster! Don´t believe what he says! He just wants to discourage you! Believe in you, If you believe she is fine then she is!" said Gullio.

"You better get out of my way inferior being, I am your new god" said Apozen laughing.

"Get away from here and search for Laoni!" said Gullio.

Rettan was just shocked, as he began to see Gullio shining in front of Apozen, it was the first time he saw a human being protecting him... Gullio charges his power and makes a huge flash, the flash destroyed the Twindemons, and made Apozen and himself disapear. After the flash Rettan fainted.

A few hours later... Rettan wakes up in the ruins of what once was Gullio and Serf´s house, with no sign of Gullio or Serf... Rettan releases a tear for the two humans that helped him by sacrificing their lives. He ends up building a small grave for the two of them.

"They are gone... Just because they were protecting me... because they believed in me... I guess I won't let them down, Ill find Laoni and avenge their death by defeating Apozen... but I'm just a mere human now... what to do... Well top priority is to find Laoni... but where do I start...?"

Suddenly Rettan remembers Serf's words saying that Centaur Village was north west of the farm lands, as Rettan left in the sunrise, he looked back to see how a farm of two brothers, was now just ruins and fire...

He built up courage, and began to walk, to search for the home of the centaurs...
